Sahibkiran's Wisdom:
“I conversed with scholars and sought the company of pure-hearted, sincere individuals. I requested their blessings, asking for their prayers and good wishes. I kept dervishes, poor, and humble people close to me, never causing them grief, and never rejecting their requests. I did not allow corrupt, foul-mouthed, backbiting people into my gatherings, nor did I heed their words. If anyone spread slander or gossip, I did not listen.
I followed the advice of the perfect Pir Shaykh Bahauddin Naqshbandi: ‘Eat little, sleep little, speak little.’ I told my officials and all servants: ‘Eat little — you will live in wealth without experiencing hunger, sleep little — you will attain perfection, speak little — you will become wise.’
I considered it both a duty and a responsibility to visit the tombs of revered saints and companions. Wherever I went, I dismounted from my horse at the shrine, performed ablution, and visited barefoot. My officials and servants made it a practice to visit shrines in the same manner.”
