Zulfiya Israilova, a singer of peace who reflected the hard work and pure heart of the Uzbek people in her work, was born on March 1, 1915 in Tashkent. Zulfiyakhanim, the owner of high talent, was awarded the international "Nilufar" and "Javaharlal Nehru" awards, as well as the "Cyril and Methodius" order of Bulgaria. The State Award named after "Zulfia" was established by the Government of Uzbekistan for the outstanding contribution of the famous poetess to the development of our culture. Her husband Hamid Olimjon was an Uzbek poet, literary critic and public figure. People's Poet of Uzbekistan Zulfiyakhanim Israilova died on August 1, 1996 in Tashkent.
