Angren University Students Participate in Francophonie Celebration at the French Embassy

On March 18, a group of students from international language programs at Angren University, accompanied by French language instructor H. Kurnaliyev from the Department of Language Teaching Methodology, participated in a Francophonie Day celebration held at the French Embassy in Tashkent.

As part of the event, students attended a special meeting with Serge Bellini, the attaché of the French Embassy. The meeting was conducted entirely in French, giving students the opportunity to practice the language in a real-life diplomatic setting.

Following the celebration, students visited the State Museum of the Temurids and the Martyrs’ Memorial Complex, gaining valuable cultural and historical insight. They returned with joyful memories and a renewed motivation to deepen their knowledge of the French language and culture.

Francophonie refers to the international organization of French-speaking countries. It consists of more than 60 member states and nearly 20 observers from around the globe. Membership is based not solely on the use of the French language, but also on deep-rooted cultural ties with France built over centuries.
