As part of the “Green Space” nationwide initiative, “Intellectuals’ Gardens” have been established across higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
With the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the tree planting marathon in the "Intellectuals’ Garden" on the campus of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute marked the official launch of the campaign. Representatives of Angren University actively participated in the event, contributing to the nationwide greening effort.
The opening ceremony featured notable figures such as Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region Akmal Savurboyev and Minister Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, alongside other officials from regional administrations and higher education institutions. Around 2,000 enthusiastic students took part in person, while university communities from 14 regions joined the event virtually via live broadcast.
This initiative aims to foster green environments in universities and raise ecological awareness among students and youth.
It’s worth noting that Angren University students also demonstrated their support for this noble cause by actively engaging in a recent community clean-up day held on campus.
